Blue Man Productions, the parent company of the theatrical production Blue Man Group, is looking for an Assistant for the head of our Music and Sound Department. The position is highly administrative, and requires the ability to efficiently assemble and coordinate information, documentation, workshops, and meetings that include multiple department heads. This position is the primary administrative support for the Creative Director for Music and Sound and will work closely with him to manage his workflow, including extensive coordination of a busy meeting and travel schedule. The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate needs while juggling multiple schedules and competing priorities.
- Scheduling internal and external meetings
- Booking both domestic and international travel
- Drafting correspondence
- Agenda preparation, minute-taking, filing, and record-keeping
- Tracking the progress of all current projects
The assistant interacts with other Blue Man Productions departmental staff, Blue Man Group cities staff, and external contacts. S/he will ensure accurate and timely communication between the Creative Director and other departments in the company. Candidates should be organized, creative self-starters with excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills. This position requires precise attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy work environment. Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat a must. 1-2 years supporting a senior-level executive preferred.
