Wardrobe - Part Time

Blue Man Group Boston is looking for a Wardrobe Part Time to begin immediately.

 

Responsibilities include running shows, presetting dressing rooms, getting the Blue Men and Band into and out of costume/makeup, running cues and costume changes, completing changeover and post-show duties, and doing laundry, building, repairing, and maintaining of costumes and soft goods.

Full-Time Technical Coordinator

Blue Man Productions, the parent company of the theatrical production Blue Man Group, is looking for a Technical Coordinator to provide high-level support to the Production Department.  S/he will be responsible for coordinating physical production needs, organizing and maintaining production documents, schedules, and cost projections, and providing administrative support. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in technical theater and a working knowledge of all Production areas, including Video, Audio, Lighting, Props, and Carpentry.  This role reports to the Resident Technical Director.

Production/Deck 1 Sub

Blue Man Group Chicago is seeking to fill a part-time deck crew position. This is a backstage run crew position whose responsibilities include an extensive and detail oriented props preset before the show as well as prop handling throughout performances. Candidates with technical theatre/props and run crew experience are preferred. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Part-time Deck Crew

Blue Man Group at Universal is hiring a part-time stage crew (deck) position.  The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and be a motivated, self-starter. 

 

This person will be responsible for performing all crew duties assigned during preset and during the performance.  The position works primarily backstage handling props and scenery and may be required to maintain prop and set elements under the direction of the Props Supervisor.

The Cleaning Crew sub’s primary responsibilities include: Day cleaning coverage at the Astor Theatre that will include general maintenance responsibilities such as rubbish removal, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning fixtures and other ad hoc duties as necessary.

Part Time Video Operator

Astor Show Productions is looking for a part time Video Operator/Engineer.

 

Candidates should have a working knowledge of digital video equipment and be able to identify and repair problems related to the running of the show. Experience with live video switching and hand held camera work is required. Knowledge of video display surfaces and projectors is a plus. Experience with media servers, media playback software such as Qlab, and computer networks is preferred.

Astor Show Productions is seeking a part time Carpenter for the New York Production of Blue Man Group.

 

Responsibilities include: performing preset duties, executing show cues as well as turnover & post show duties in a safe and professional manner, emergency repairs of scenery and props, assisting deck crew during changeover on multiple show days, work calls for projects as needed. Show carpenter will directly relate to and work with the stage run crew.

Part-Time Carpenter/Fly

This is a part-time position whose responsibilities include covering shows and maintenance hours for the carpentry and fly positions.

 

Candidates must have a basic understanding of stage mechanics and have strong carpentry and rigging skills.  Basic skills in electrics, an elementary understanding of hydraulics and some availability during non-show hours, as scheduled by the Carpentry and Automation Supervisor, are preferred.

 

Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and work well in a high-energy environment.

The Producer, Events is charged with producing projects that vary in size, scope, and medium.  This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Blue Man Group at Universal seeks a part-time lighting technician.  This person should have at least 5 years of experience as a lighting technician in theatrical and/or rock and roll productions.  S/he should have a working knowledge of the Grand MA console as well as experience maintaining moving lights.

 

Responsibilities include the preshow check and troubleshooting of all instrumentation, dimmers, and special effects as well as the operation of the GrandMA console for shows and rehearsals.

Fall Marketing Internship

Blue Man Productions, best known for our theatrical production Blue Man Group, is looking for interns for the fall. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the inner workings of a fast-paced entertainment organization.

 

Interns will receive a small stipend for each week of the internship.  All internships require a commitment of 20 hours per week, between the hours of 10am and 7pm, Monday through Friday.
