Video Editor Generalist/Motion Graphics

Blue Man Productions is looking for a Video Editor Generalist / Motion Graphics Artist to join our Video department.  Blue Man Group produces the majority of the video content for our live productions and marketing material in house.  The ideal candidate will be a highly creative person with the ability to work within a given aesthetic, but also bring their own creative input to a project. This position requires a varied background in pre- and post-production and the ability to handle a wide array of projects.  The candidate must be comfortable working with an established media and project management structure within the studio.  This role reports to Creative Director of the Video Department.

 

The Video Editor Generalist is responsible for the organization and execution of video projects for Blue Man Productions.  This position requires a high level of creativity and technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires the skills and flexibility to be able to work on a wide range of tasks, including:

 

Creating and implementing media for live theatrical productions

 

Creating broadcast standard commercials, sizzle reels, and music videos

 

Managing file conversion and transcodes for an array of media and codes

 

Handling log and capture, video production, and camera operation

 

 

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in video production and post-production.  Additional experience working in theater is preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Final Cut 7, Adobe Premier, After Effects, and Photoshop.
