ATTENTION DRUMMERS: Blue Man Group Boston is seeking the most creative, innovative, insanely talented drummers in the Greater Boston Area.
The 6th Annual Boston Drum-Off to take place during this year’s Summer Block Party at The Lawn on D. Online submissions close June 17th.
HOW TO ENTER:
Film a 1-2 min solo jam session on a standard drum set. Your entry must be original (and may not have been submitted to any other contest).
Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo (all videos must include #BlueManDrumOff and #Contest to be eligible for consideration!)
Complete the contest entry form and include your video URL – remember the judges will be looking for Creativity, Technical Ability, Musicality, Style & Personal Flair.
HOW IT WORKS:
Submit your video entry by filling out the contest entry form.
Our select panel of judges will choose a group of semi-finalists based on the following criteria: • Creativity • Technical Ability • Musicality • Style & Personal Flair
Online submissions close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 17th. Semi-finalists will be contacted by Friday, June 21.
Semi-finalists will be invited to perform a live 3-minute session on Wednesday, June 26 from 6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. at the Charles Playhouse (74 Warrenton Street, Boston). The judge’s panel will select no more than 5 finalists from this group.
Finalists will be required to attend a minimum of two rehearsals at the Charles Playhouse: an individual one-hour rehearsal on Thursday, June 27 (between 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) and a group rehearsal on Friday, July 5 (12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.)
The finalists will each perform a live 3-minute session in front of a roaring crowd during the Summer Block Party at The Lawn on D on Saturday, July 6 from 5:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
The judges will determine ONE Grand Prize Winner of the Blue Man Group Boston Drum-Off. The lucky winner will receive a prize packages valued at $5,000!

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Enter contest between 6/3/19 at 9:00 a.m. EST and 6/17/19 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. & D.C. 13 years of age or older at time of entry. Limit 1 entry per person. One (1) grand prize, having an approximate retail value not to exceed four thousand nine hundred seventy-four United States Dollars and nineteen cents ($4,974.19), is available to be won.
