Blue Man Group Chicago seeks a part time stage management sub. Show responsibilities include managing crew and performers, running sound check, calling all show cues, and leading post show discussions with the performers, writing show reports. Candidate must be self-motivated, innovative and enjoy working in a fast-paced and creative environment. 3+ years theatrical stage management experience required. Strong leadership skills, enthusiasm and interest in working as part of the stage management team are a must.

Blue Man Group Chicago is seeking a hard-working, personable, courageous and self-motivated individual to work as our Part-time Group Jack for our very busy spring matinee season.

 

Responsibilities include tasks in areas both custodial and customer service. The person in this position will assist in the welcoming of incoming groups, usher in the theater, and clean the public restrooms and lobby.

Company Manager

Blue Man Group is looking for someone to fill the position of Company Manager for the Chicago production. Responsibilities include: processing bi-weekly payroll for over 100 employees, managing benefits, administering Personal Time Off systems, administering orientation systems, assisting in hiring, planning 2 events a year and managing donation/ticket requests.  Viable candidates must be a fun, creative, motivated self-starter who is able to multi-task within an extremely busy work environment.

Part Time Sound Engineer

This is a part time position. The right candidate should have a flexible schedule and the ability to start training into the show in early January 2016. 
 
Responsibilities include preset duties, sound check, running show cues, mixing the show, changeover duties, and post-show duties. It may also include some regular maintenance as scheduled by the Sound Supervisor.

Part Time Video/Lighting Technician

Blue Man Group at Universal Orlando Resort seeks a part-time dual role Video and Lighting technician. This person should have at least 3 years experience as a Live Video and/or Lighting technician in a theatrical or rock and roll environment. 

 

The main responsibilities of this role are hand held camera operation, deck electrician, lighting operator and stage hand.

Part Time Light Board Operator

This is a part-time Light Board operator position, whose responsibilities will include preset, LX maintenance and repair, and running the light board during the show as scheduled by the Electrics Supervisor. This is a part time position and does not have a guaranteed amount of shows per week, as our show schedule fluctuates a great deal. Ideal candidates will have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights and weekends. Added flexibility during the Spring and early Summer student matinee season is appealing. Increased flexibility over the holiday season (Thanksgiving through New Year’s) is required.

Full Time Carpenter

The Full Time Carpenter is responsible for running shows as show Carpenter and executing the general maintenance schedule. He/she works a minimum of 6 shows per week. He/she will complete weekly maintenance and take on individual projects as assigned by the Carpentry & Automation Supervisor or the Production Stage Manager. He/she should also assist with ongoing projects and be comfortable taking the lead when necessary. He/she will also procure materials and get quotes as directed. Strong people management, communication, and carpentry skills are required.

Astor Show Productions is looking for a part time Video Operator/Engineer.

 

Candidates should have a working knowledge of digital video equipment and be able to identify and repair problems related to the running of the show. Experience with live video switching and hand held camera work is required. Knowledge of video display surfaces and projectors is a plus. Experience with media servers, media playback software such as Qlab, and computer networks is preferred.

Blue Man Productions, the parent company of the theatrical production Blue Man Group, is looking for a full-time Digital Media Coordinator to support the Marketing team and Blue Man Group’s digital content strategy.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience using tools such as the Adobe Suite, Content Management Systems, basic HTML and handling multiple projects across several different markets. This role reports to the Digital Media Manager.

Spring Marketing Internship

Blue Man Productions, best known for our theatrical production Blue Man Group, is looking for interns to come on board in January 2016. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the inner workings of a fast-paced entertainment organization.

 

Interns will receive a small stipend for each week of the 12-15 week internship.  All internships require a commitment of 20 hours per week, between the hours of 10am and 7pm, Monday through Friday.
