We are seeking enthusiastic, team minded individuals to join our team at the New York Show. We are a global entertainment company best known for the award-winning Blue Man Group show, performed in 15 countries and seen by more than 35 million people worldwide since 1991.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of digital video equipment and be able to identify and repair problems related to the running of the show. Experience with live video switching and hand held camera work is required. Knowledge of video display surfaces and projectors is a plus. Experience with media servers, media playback software such as Qlab, and computer networks are preferred. Applicants should have a fairly flexible schedule and be willing to communicate with the Video Supervisor about weekly and monthly scheduling of shows.
Show responsibilities include preset, executing show cues, and post show or turnover duties in a safe, professional and timely manner. Video Operators must maintain clear communication with Stage Manager and Supervisor regarding the status of the video system.
Part Time Video Operators are scheduled for shifts at least once per month, but will generally work more, and are required to attend full company meetings. Availability for occasional daytime work is a plus They must be available to do more shows during the busy spring break (March/April) & Winter Holiday seasons (Thanksgiving through New Year's.)
